Meet me, Iyla. This incredible lady on the left in the profile picture right there is the one that created me, Ansaba Gavor! Ansaba is seriously the coolest, she was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Ghanaian parents and being raised in a culture different from her parents’ native homeland, she was faced with juggling Ghanaian values of her parents and American values of her peers! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ansaba wrote her first book Children are like Cupcakes for her daughter to inspire her and all children to be comfortable with their OWN uniqueness! I was also created with inspiration from her daughter AND that’s who gave me, Iyla my totally awesome and beautiful name!

Ansaba has several degrees and is also a licensed family therapist, a smartphone and online counselor so she can be reached from all over, she’s done several radio shows to discuss Children are Like Cupcakes.
