Melanie Ann grew up in Jamestown, Rhode Island as the oldest daughter of 4 girls. Her creative passion for the arts began as a young child and continued as she attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design, in Boston. She graduated in 1997 with a BFA in photography. Melanie soon returned to Mass Art when she realized she also had a passion for teaching, and received her teacher certification in 2000. She continued her passion within the Framingham Public Schools, teaching art to elementary aged children. Simultaneously, she attended Framingham State University and received her Masters in Art Education. She resigned from teaching after 10 years in the Framingham school system to raise her daughter Taylor Rose, and follow her dreams of becoming a full time artist/author!

She is currently self employed and living in the Boston area with her supportive husband of 13 years, her beautiful daughter, 2 very loved aging cats and 1 spunky pup. Melanie Ann spends her time creating, writing and continuing her education through online courses.
