When you buy a book through MagicBeans Bookstore you are not only supporting the independent artist and writer, you are making a difference in a child's life. You are doing your part to foster independent publishing and support diverse voices that break the mold and make ALL children feel included. Anytime you shop with us, you are supporting those principles and playing a role in our effort to make the publishing world better – one book at a time.
The way you are doing your part is by coming to our site and choosing to buy a book that is independently published, every time you do that we are able to donate a brand new children's book to help build a library where one is not provided or donate to children that live in areas where new books are a scarcity.
With your help and support we can put the magic of books in every child's life. Our goal is to have donated one million books and make a difference in children's lives. A bookstore with a moral future – one that celebrates diversity, culture and independence!

MISSION
Our mission at MagicBeans Bookstore is to set ourselves apart from other bookstores. We want our customers to feel appreciated but also to feel like they are making a difference in the world whenever they come to us.
In addition to supporting diverse, independent authors and illustrators to provide inclusiveness among all children, we encourage diverse books that cover such topics such as autism, bullying, multiculturalism, diversity, LGBT, spirituality, and self-esteem, topics that the mainstream sometimes overlooks – and all topics that that are important in today's world. However, our biggest mission is to promote the importance of literacy to young children. We believe that early childhood reading and literacy is the foundation of a promising future.
Supporting causes that we believe in such as:
Reading Is Fundamental of Southern California (RIFSoCal) and Casa Pacifica, we donate new books to underprivileged children to promote the importance of literacy and encourage them to read. Every child deserves to experience the magic of books, help us make a difference by donating a new book today. For some children this will be the very first book they have ever owned.
