Our mission at MagicBeans Bookstore is to set ourselves apart from other bookstores. We want our customers to feel appreciated but also to feel like they are making a difference in the world whenever they come to us.

 

In addition to supporting diverse, independent authors and illustrators to provide inclusiveness among all children, we encourage diverse books that cover such topics such as autism, bullying, multiculturalism, diversity, LGBT, spirituality, and self-esteem, topics that the mainstream sometimes overlooks – and all topics that that are important in today's world. However, our biggest mission is to promote the importance of literacy to young children. We believe that early childhood reading and literacy is the foundation of a promising future.

Supporting causes that we believe in such as: 

Reading Is Fundamental of Southern California (RIFSoCal) and Casa Pacifica, we donate new books to underprivileged children to promote the importance of literacy and encourage them to read. Every child deserves to experience the magic of books, help us make a difference by donating a new book today. For some children this will be the very first book they have ever owned.
