Celebrating Diversity in Kids Books!

We see diversity everywhere, every day. A diverse world offers interesting and marvelous opportunities for exploration and learning.

Your family and friends are diverse, even if you haven’t thought about it before. People have different colored eyes and hair, different colored skin and body types, different interests and skills. We should cherish and celebrate the inherent diversity of humankind.

Children’s author, Tom Tracy Jr.,and 99 other authors have done just that!

Mr. Tracy created a catalog featuring 100 Independently Published Authors from around the world.

This diverse collection of children’s books promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by showcasing authors from various cultures, ethnicities, and belief systems. Each author in this catalog shares a desire for children to feel loved and accepted as they are.

We — Tom Tracy, Jr., the other catalog authors, and I — see diversity under attack. Our goal is to heighten awareness and renew our pledge to instill core human values—empathy, understanding, and acceptance—in children’s education. Readers connect with our characters as they face challenges, learn valuable social skills, and so much more!

Our aim is to provide this catalog as a resource for educators, parents and lovers of children’s literature everywhere and to introduce you to talented authors you may not be familiar with yet!
