Author Arvat McClaine sharing her story.

Although I always was a bit intrigued by the general comment that I would hear from time to time that everyone has a book inside of them, I never seriously considered becoming an author. I have, however, always loved reading, albeit, non-fiction books. People always say that fiction books stoke their imaginations, but, for me, it is the non-fiction books that encourage me to dream of new possibilities. And, I always admired people who took the time to sit down and

write about what they know about, to take the time to share with all of us their insights on the world around them. I am forever thankful for the ways that these people, who I will never know, have so drastically enhanced my life!

And, then, out of the blue, I started writing my first book in January 2017*. Four weeks later, I was done. With no forethought, the book poured effortlessly out of me. Although it was a sort of memoir about my life, I always felt that the book was “gifted” to me. It was almost as if I didn’t write it and still to this day, every single time that I re-read my own book, I learn something new from it! It is the most amazing and fascinating thing to me.

That first book was for adults, and I never considered writing for children—until that very same thing happened to me again in August of 2020. I just spontaneously wrote 4 children’s books!

Every Tuesday in August of 2020, I spent about an hour writing a book. Again, although three of the four books are based on my own life-story, I felt that the words flowed magically from me, like I wasn’t the real author of these wondrous creations. Gifts for me, that I am now, in turn, gifting to the world!

In my children’s books, I share jewels that I didn’t learn until I was an adult. I am so pleased with the feedback about these books. Parents tell me that "Through Her Own Eyes: Tavra’s Journey to Self-Love" quickly became their children’s favorite book. And adults say that this book allowed them to nurture their inner child! Parents love "At Least A Million Ways: Tavra Imagines Her Possibilities" because it is an easy way to teach/remind children of their own

infinity and of their ability to use their imaginations to create their greatest

desires,

—there are at least a million ways to accomplish anything!

My first two children’s books were published in 2021. The next titles are slated for release in 2022.
